Participants will develop a collective definition of humanizing learning, leveraging lived experiences in teaching to identify examples of both dehumanizing and humanizing practices. Specifically, we will explore the following practices: (1) embedding identity work into academics; (2) learner-driven assessment practices; (3) humanized technology integration; (4) proactively teaching executive functions; and (5) building a collectivist classroom culture. Participants will conclude by setting an intention for humanization for the following school year.
